Dental Patient Information - Coppell, TX
Info for a Successful Visit
We created all of our dental office’s policies and procedures with our patients' needs in mind. It is our highest priority to create a positive experience for both the child and the other children visiting the dental office every day. Furthermore, our policies were designed to ensure an efficient and seamless process that you and your family are sure to appreciate during your visit.
How are Appointments Scheduled?
We make sure to allocate time in the morning for preschool children in particular since they are fresher and it gives us more leeway in helping them get settled. If your young child needs restorative work done, we make sure to schedule them in the morning as well. Keep in mind that dental appointments are considered an excused absence, but we’ll always make sure to keep missed school days to a minimum when regular dental care is continued. We reserve the right to charge $50.00 for appointments canceled or broken without 48 hours of advance notice.
Do I Stay with My Child During the Visit?
We request that you let your child join our team members as they complete their dental appointment. As highly experienced dental professionals, we can help them overcome their anxiety one step at a time. We understand that separation anxiety is common among children, so if your child shows some negative behavior, we ask you to hold your concerns. These reactions are normal and they will diminish over time. Our own experience, as well as studies, have shown that a majority of children over the age of 3 actually react more positively when given an opportunity to experience a dental visit on their own, especially in a dental office like ours designed for children.

What if Your Child Needs Treatment?
If you have dental insurance with out-of-network benefits, we will verify your policy; however, insurance companies do not always release specific information regarding coverage. At your child’s evaluation appointment, we will attempt to estimate your dental benefits to the best of our ability; this is an ESTIMATE ONLY, not a guarantee of coverage and should not be depended on as the final decision. Your estimated portion for dental treatment can only be extended for a period of 90 days from the date of the patient’s last examination. At the treatment appointment, we will collect your estimated portion and send a claim for the remaining balance to your insurance to be sent to our dental office. For some patients with BlueCross BlueShield and Delta Dental, our dental office will NOT be able to collect an estimated portion for dental treatment due to their plan limitations. Therefore, payment with these insurance plans will be due in full on the day of treatment.
Balances
If there is a balance on your account once insurance has paid their share, a statement will be sent to for the remaining balance and will be due to our dental office upon receipt. Any underpayment made by your insurance company is your responsibility. You will receive a statement reflecting the balance, and we ask that you pay your remaining portion upon receipt of the statement. If we have not received payment from your insurance company within 45 days of the service being rendered, you will be responsible for the balance. Any account that is overpaid by your insurance will receive a prompt refund. Our dental office reserves the right to stop filing your insurance if at any time there is a problem with your account because of your insurance carrier, or your unwillingness to cooperate with our dental office policies. As a courtesy to you, our staff will assist you with any conflicts you may have regarding your insurance but please understand we cannot guarantee the outcome. Any account balance over 90 days will be turned over to our attorney for legal action. Returned personal checks are subject to a transaction fee by our dental office.
What if my Child Does Not Have Dental Insurance and Needs Treatment?
We are happy to accept cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. In the event of a canceled appointment, we reserve the right to charge $35.00-$50.00 for appointments canceled or broken if we are not given 24 hours advance notice. As dental care providers, we emphasize that our relationship is between you and your child. However, if you have any questions about the above information, feel free to ask us directly. We are happy to help you in any way possible.
CareCredit Financing Available
We understand that paying for dental treatment all at one time can be uncomfortable for your budget. To alleviate your stress, we also accept CareCredit, which breaks down the cost into smaller monthly payments. And the best part? This financing can come at a low interest rate for those who qualify!
