Dr. Melissa Rozas has a personality and size (4’11”) that is a custom fit for pediatric dentistry. Her experience with dentistry began around age 3 when her four upper incisors had to be extracted because of dental decay due to drinking Coke in a baby bottle. Many dental appointments later for cavities, 3 sets of braces, and a set of wisdom teeth removed, she still loved going to see her dentists. “I knew very early that I loved being in a dental office atmosphere and that I wanted to be a pediatric dentist”. She also had a cousin who was a pediatric dentist in Mississippi and visiting his office was the highlight of her trip!
Dr. Rozas graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Science in 1991, and in 1995 she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. Following dental school, she completed a two-year residency at the University of Texas at Houston and Hermann Hospital where she received her specialty certificate in pediatric dentistry in 1997. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Dallas and started her own practice in 1998.
Dr. Rozas is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Over the last 20 years, she has been recognized as a leader in the local dental community, as well as state and national organizations. She is past president of the Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and past Director of College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She has been co- Chairman of the Greater Dallas Pediatric Dental Society since 2007. Dr. Rozas is also an active member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and the Southwest Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Rozas is passionate about educating families and her patients on dental health and she is committed to giving each child excellent care. She resides in Coppell with her husband, Tim and their two teenage children, Bryce and Lauren. When she is not taking care of little teeth, she loves to run, exercise and travel to her favorite beach destinations.
Born and raised in Oklahoma, Dr. Terra Compton attended Oklahoma State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2006. She then moved to Mesa, AZ, and concurrently obtained her Masters in Public Health and Doctor of Dental Medicine degrees from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. After dental school, Dr. Compton moved to Washington, D.C. to pursue her dream of being a pediatric dentist by completing a two year pediatric dental residency at Children's National Medical Center.
Dr. Compton is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and an active member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Dallas Pediatric Dental Society.
Dr. Compton lives in Dallas with her husband Miles and their two daughters Sylvie and Lucia. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, spending time with her family and cheering on the OSU Cowboys!
A Ft. Worth native, Dr. Loria Nahatis graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2000. While attending high school and college, Dr. Nahatis worked in a pediatric dental office part-time, proving to herself that she indeed wanted to seek a career in pediatric dentistry. She actually met Dr. Rozas while working there! After college graduation, she immediately began pursuing her dream to become a pediatric dentist and obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in 2004. Following dental school, Dr. Nahatis earned her pediatric specialty certificate from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 2006.
Dr. Nahatis is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry College of Diplomates, the Texas Dental Association, the Greater Dallas Pediatric Dental Society, and the Academy of Laser Dentistry.
Dr. Nahatis lives in Dallas with her husband, Takis, and their children, Athan and Alice. In her spare time she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, cooking, and traveling.
Priscila Swearingen was born and raised in Mansfield, Texas. She attended both Tarrant County Junior College and North Texas State University. Priscila started in the pediatric dental field in 1993 as a clinical assistant and joined Dr. Rozas as her business manager in 1998. Her experience in both the clinical and business area of dentistry, make Priscila an excellent resource in all areas of the practice.
Priscila resides in Coppell with her husband, Will and has three beautiful children, Haley, Tripp and Jett and one handsome grandson, Case. Although her after-work schedule is filled with carpool, homework and numerous sports activities, she still finds a little spare time for herself. She enjoys anything and everything outdoors, exercising and listening to audiobooks as she does them. But her favorite activity is spending time with family and friends, traveling, and simply enjoying each other’s company.
Tammy has been in pediatric dentistry since 1986. She started as a dental assistant as a teenager in Lubbock and now works as Dr. Rozas’ Financial Administrator and Patient Coordinator since 2001. Tammy is certified in CPR, Radiation and Nitrous Oxide administration. She attends continuing education programs throughout the year to keep her up to date on the most current changes in the pediatric field. Having a great knowledge and experience in both the clinical setting and the business area of pediatric dentistry helps her make parents and children feel more comfortable about their visits to the dentist.
Born and raised in Lubbock, Tammy is a true Red Raider fan! Her daughter Presleigh attends Texas Tech and her son Dustin lives in Oregon. When not working, Tammy enjoys spending time with her family, friends, shopping, traveling and has a great love for dogs.
Jamie Barrows has been involved in dentistry since 1988, and she has been with Dr. Rozas’ practice since 2000. She is involved with patient and parents in scheduling treatment and new patient appointments. Another aspect of her job is to help guide parents through the dental experience if they need to be treated in a hospital setting. Jamie is also certified in Nitrous Oxide and Radiology. Jamie most enjoys working with her colleagues in a fun environment and delivering excellent care to our patients and parents.
Jamie lives in Lewisville, with her husband Paul, and their two children, Megan and Brandon. She enjoys spending time with her daughter and watching her son play college soccer.
Roxanne began working with Dr. Rozas in 2010. She brings joy to our team primarily working with patients scheduling their preventative care and treatment appointments. Her friendly smile and laugh makes her shine daily. Her hard work and computer knowledge ensures that our patients will receive the utmost level of care! While not in the office, Roxanne loves to spend time with her husband, family, friends and pups.
Pam joined our practice in June 2016. She has worked in the dental field since 2003 and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications and Marketing. You will find Pam greeting our patients at the front desk and helping them to become comfortable in our office. She considers it a joy and a privilege to work with patients and their parents who have chosen our office for their dental needs.
Pam is originally from Alabama. She lives in Coppell with her husband and three rescue dogs. She has two married sons and three precious grandchildren. Pam enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, traveling and greeting our darling patients.
Beverley joined our team in August of 2017. She was born and raised in Canada and moved to Coppell in 1997. She resides with her husband, two boys and dog, Lefty. Beverley has been very involved in the community and volunteering for the schools where her kids attend. Since she isn’t volunteering as much with the schools anymore, she still enjoys being able to see the children come into the office. As our patient coordinator, you will see her welcoming our patients with a friendly smile as well as verifying patient information and insurance. During Beverley’s spare time, she loves watching her boys play hockey, golfing, skiing, travel and photography.
Mandy Goff started with Dr. Rozas as a chair side dental assistant in 1999. She worked both full and part time while attending college and pursuing her education at Tarrant County College to obtain a degree in Dental Hygiene. While in hygiene school, Mandy was Vice President of the Students of American Dental Hygiene Association (SADHA), and presently she is a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) as well as the Texas Dental Hygienists’ Association (TDHA). Mandy chose to work in the pediatric dental field because she enjoys educating children on the importance of a healthy smile and good dental health. She also finds a real since of fulfillment when she works with the mentally and physically challenged children.
Mandy resides in Irving and is happily married to her high school sweetheart. They have three beautiful children, Austin, Harper, and Brooklyn. They keep them busy on their toes with many sporting events. Away from work, Mandy enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends and loved ones.
Missey graduated with her Bachelor’s degree from Texas Women’s University in 1996 and has practiced in general dentistry for the last 20 years. Missey and Dr. Rozas’ paths crossed many times since 1996, and in 2017 she joined our practice on a part time basis and transitioned to full time in the Spring of 2018! She is certified in the use of a soft tissue laser and is committed to continuing her education and skills by attending classes and seminars. She is passionate about dental hygiene and is excited to be working with children and teens. Missey is truly dedicated to her profession and thrilled to make an impact on her patient’s lives. With her warm smile and bubbly personality, she is the perfect fit for pediatrics!
Missey and her husband have been Coppell residents since 1983 and have 2 beautiful girls, Bailey and Ryley. When she is not at the office or busy wit her girls, she is involved in her church by teaching Sunday school. She loves to travel with her family and since she is a Disney fanatic, I bet you can guess her favorite vacation destination!
Lara joined Dr. Rozas’ team in January 2012. A native of Nashville, TN, she received her Bachelor of Science in Health and Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University. After moving to Texas in 2008, Lara returned to school and became an RDA (Registered Dental Assistant). Lara is certified in Radiology, Infection Control, Jurisprudence, and CPR. Her business experience coupled with her clinical dental experience makes Lara a valuable asset for Dr. Rozas’ staff.
Lara currently resides in Denton with her husband Mitch, their daughter Charlotte, their Lab/Border Collie mix Kenzie, and cat Zoe. In her free time, Lara likes being outdoors, swimming, and traveling back to Tennessee to visit family.
Christina joined Dr. Rozas’ team in May 2011 after completing her dental assisting program. She dreamed of working in the dental field since she was in first grade and was so excited to find a position in pediatric dentistry. Her love for children combined wit her passion for working in the dental field makes her the perfect fit for our office! Christina is a Registered Dental Assistant and is certified in Radiation and Nitrous Oxide administration, CPR and Infection Control.
Christina, a Coppell native, has a huge heart for animals and loves spending time with her family and their animals. When she in not at the office, she enjoys spending time baking, listening to music and working on DIY projects.
Shannon joined the team in February 2013. She graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington in 2000 and proceeded to work in the banking industry for 9 years. After her daughters were born, she decided to stay home and enjoy those precious years. As her children got older, Shannon is a Registered Dental Assistant and is certified in Radiation and Nitrous Oxide administration, CPR and Infection Control. Shannon loves working in pediatrics! Holding a child’s hand on their first visit or laughing with them at silly jokes makes every day a joy for her.
Haley officially joined Dr. Rozas’ team in July 2014. However, she may look familiar to some of you because Haley has been a member of our team off and on since she was in high school. While helping out in our office throughout her years in high school, Haley discovered she was passionate about the dental world and even more so about helping kids with their dental care. Haley proceeded to pursue a dental career after graduating from Coppell High School and received her Registered Dental Assistants certification in 2010. Haley is also certified in Radiology, Infection Control, Jurisprudence, Nitrous Oxide and CPR. We are thrilled to have watched her grow up and now have her as an official member of the Rozas team!
Haley was raised and currently still lives in Coppell. Haley welcomed a precious baby boy, Case, in August of 2018 and she is a proud new mommy. Outside of work, she is busy changing diapers and running around with her little one and loving every minute. She enjoys listening to country music and has a heart for animals. In addition, she loves spending time with her siblings and family.
