Dr. Rozas feels
strongly about being involved in the local
community, giving back and dental
education. Below are some of the many ways
that Dr. Rozas and her staff have impacted
the communities around them.

Dr. Rozas’ 6th Annual Cash for Candy
drive was held November 3, 2011. We
are so thankful to all of our patients and
their families, as well as other community
members, who made this year’s drive such a
huge success! Our Cash for Candy drive
collected 1750 lbs of Halloween Candy.
And in addition to the candy drive, we
collected 181 jars of peanut butter to help
close the gap on hunger in North Texas. The
candy and peanut butter were donated to
local charities, the North Texas Food Bank,
and troops overseas. Thank you to our
wonderful patients for your caring and
generosity!
Dr. Rozas and her
office believe in volunteering in the
community where we work. One way we are
able to do this is by participating in the
City of Coppell’s “Keep Coppell
Beautiful-Adopt a Location” program. This
program is designed to empower citizens,
organizations and businesses to keep streets
and parks litter-free through a volunteer
effort. Dr. Rozas and her staff have
participated in this program since 2006.
The area we are proud to keep litter free is
on Sandy Lake Road between Lodge and
Moore—right in front of our office!

Texas Creative Arts
Academy and Theatre announced that local
pediatric dentist, Dr. Melissa Rozas, will
be the presenting title sponsor of this
year’s production of “13”, benefitting
Taylor’s Gift Foundation at the new Medical
Center of Lewisville Grand Theater, located
at 100 North Charles Street on May 6-8,
2011.
“We are so appreciative of the
community support that has rallied around
both of these Coppell-based nonprofit
organizations,” remarked Donna Park,
Executive Director of TCAA. “With no
assistance from the city, we struggle to
accomplish our mission. The youth in this
community deserve to be exposed to the arts
– and even more importantly – participate in
the arts, so we are indebted to those
businesses that see our mission as an
important one.”
Texas Creative Arts Academy
first presented “13” last year as a benefit
for Taylor’s Gift and plan to continue the
tradition each year. Taylor’s Gift, is
non-profit named in honor of Taylor Storch,
a 13-year-old Coppell student who tragically
died on a family skiing trip in 2010. Taylor
was a generous person and her family knew
that she would want to help others by saving
lives with her organs. With Taylor’s “gift”
of her organs 7 lives were saved. The
organization has been instrumental in
increasing awareness while educating and
encouraging people to become organ donors.
They have received national attention and
been recently featured on“Good Morning,
America” and “Ellen,” among other programs.

Every February and
October our staff makes a concerted effort
to get out and educated local children on
how to have a healthy smile. We do this
with a fun skit involving our office mascot,
Sammy the Shark. The kids love it…and so do
we!
