Dr.
Melissa Rozas grew up on
Galveston Island, where she received her pre-college education and work
experience managing one of her family’s seafood restaurants. Dr. Rozas
graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Biomedical Science, and in 1995 she received her Doctor of Dental
Surgery Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in
Houston, Texas. Following dental school, she completed a two-year
residency at the University of Texas in Houston and Hermann Hospital
where she received her certificate in pediatric dentistry. This
rigorous training in a clinical and hospital setting helped her acquire
those skills and knowledge necessary to meet the needs of children. In
addition to her training, Dr. Rozas is a Diplomate of the American Board
of Pediatric Dentistry. To reach this Diplomate status, Dr. Rozas had to
successfully pass an examination and presentation of board cases to a
panel of her peers.
Her fondness for dentistry came at a very
young age when she was a frequent patient in her pediatric dentist’s
office. Despite having “baby bottle tooth decay” from Coca Cola, and
having 4 primary teeth extracted at the age of 3 years, she still loved
going to the dentist. She even had the wonderful experience of having 3
sets of braces as an adolescent and teen. She is passionate about
educating her families in preventing dental disease and helping her
patients achieve a beautiful and healthy smile.
Dr. Rozas is an active member of the
American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association,
Texas Dental Association, Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Dallas
County Dental Society and Southwest Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
This year she is serving as chairman of the Greater Dallas Pediatric
Dental Society. Dr. Rozas also had the honor of being appointed as an
executive board member to the Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry in
May 2009.
Dr. Rozas resides in Coppell, with her
husband, Tim and their two children, Bryce and Lauren. When not serving
on PTO or at the office, Dr. Rozas enjoys running, skiing and traveling.

Dr. John
Kempton knows kids. Growing up
in a family of twelve children will do that to you! Born and raised on
a farm in rural Arizona, “Dr. John” spent his formative years learning
principles of hard work, cooperation, and flexibility that have made him
a successful pediatric dentist today. As his siblings have married and
the family now boasts over 50 nieces and nephews, he can rightfully
claim that he has TONS of experience with children of all ages. Dr.
Kempton completed his undergraduate degree at Arizona State University
where he received his B.A. in Spanish in December 2002. Fluent in
Spanish, he then went on to earn his D.D.S. from the University of Iowa
College of Dentistry in Iowa City, Iowa. He and his family officially
became Texans in June of 2007, when they moved to Dallas for his
residency training in pediatrics at Baylor College of
Dentistry/Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. Dr. Kempton received his
Pediatric Certificate and Master’s Degree in August 2009, and is
thrilled to be joining Dr. Rozas’ dental team.
In addition to helping children in the
practice, Dr. Kempton is passionate about helping those less fortunate.
He recently returned from a humanitarian aid trip to Honduras where he
was able to provide dental work for underprivileged men, women, and
children. Dr. Kempton is currently an active member in the American
Dental Academy, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Texas
Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Hispanic Dental Association and the
Greater Dallas Pediatric Dental Society.

Dr. John and his wife, Jessica, are the
proud parents of three sons: Nate, Brad, and Adam. In his spare time,
Dr. Kempton loves to wrestle with his boys, wakeboard, snowboard, ride
motorcycles, and work on his old Chevy truck.
